Every day, thousands of cyberattacks target Canadian companies, according to Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), and this number is constantly growing. The startling figure was revealed by the CSIS, which provided a glimpse into the amount of cyberattacks targeting Canada on a daily basis.

Now more than ever, Industry specialists are needed to help navigate risks and keep data safe as Canada's tech industry continues to evolve. "Organizations all across the country are being influenced by technological evolution and need to constantly upgrade their cybersecurity capabilities," according to the Toronto Financial Service Association's recent survey. As a result of this development, there is a greater demand for cybersecurity professionals than ever before, making the cybersecurity talent shortage one of Canada's critical concerns. According to the same survey, the industry is experiencing a chronic scarcity of cybersecurity personnel as new technologies and evolving threats raise the level of cyber risk faster than current cybersecurity teams can handle.
